How can I enjoy sex?
Posted on February 10th, 2009 by Dr.CareQuestion:
I’ve been with my partner for three years and I recently had an abortion. Ever since then my libido has dropped. I enjoy sex when we have it but I’m always worried about getting pregnant, even though I’m on the Pill and we use condoms. How can I enjoy sex again?
Answer:
You have actually answered your question; you can enjoy sex once you are confident you will not get pregnant. How do you get pregnant in the first place if you are careful, with taking the pill and using the condom? If you miss to take the pill there is always the second protection, the condom and if the condom accidentally slips or gets torn then you can consider taking the morning after pill! The fear of getting pregnant has taken the joy of lovemaking. You can consider non-penetrative sex like oral sex and still get your dose of climaxes. The double protection you have taken is more than enough to ward off unwanted pregnancy if you and your partner are committed in the practice of contraception.
